About the Scholarship Program

The Aga Khan Foundation's International Scholarship Programme provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant, 50% loan basis.

Eligibility Requirements

• Nationality: Nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and other developing countries
• Academic Record: Excellent academic records (typically top 10% of class)
• Admission: Admission to a reputable postgraduate program (Master's or PhD)
• Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need (no other means to finance education)
• Leadership: Strong leadership potential and commitment to development
• Age Limit: Generally under 30 for Master's, under 35 for PhD
